Openly romantic, Cosi Comme Sei (Stay as You Are, 1978) is one of the most prestigious soundtracks of Ennio Morricone in this genre.

The drama directed by Alberto Lattuada and starring Marcello Mastroianni and Nastassja Kinski earn much in his reflective tone with the slow breathing music, highlighting trumpets, pianos and flughelhorn. The main theme connects tradition and modernity associating strings and drums. The sad tone of track A Nastassja and Postludio D'Amore (flugel by Oscar Valdranbrini) are high points and Morricone includes two disco themes, Dance On and Space 1999 to set the period. A risky maneuver for a renowned composer, but back then it was not usual to include random pop tunes from others. A retro classic indispensable to romantic listeners.
