Javier Navarrete

 

[1956 -] Spanish composer that began his career in the late 80s doing music for short movies and TV series. Despite his brief and recent career Navarrete already have a name consolidated with the fantastic cinema with several prominent works. He began writing for alternative films as the suspense Manila (1991) and the neo-western Atolladero (1995). The partnership with director Guillermo Del Toro made him best known internationally with the films El Espinazo del Diablo (2001) and specially Pan's Labyrinth (2006). His name would be associated with horror and fantasy films like Sa Majesté Minor (2007), Mirrors (2008), Inkheart (2008), The Hole (2009), The New Daughter (2009), Wrath of Titans (2012) and Byzantium (2012).
