Piccioni´s music for police adventure Puppet on a Chain (1970) is a nice hybrid of jazz and psychedelic.

A score so representative of an era that today deserves honorable cult mention. The swing of bass lines and hammond organ in many passages are a true sound icon of an era. Some titles already suggest the tone of "marginalia" as Psychedelic Mood ("wise swing" with guitars), LSD Party (with bongos and flutes) or Night Club (organ and guitars). The spirit of pop cinema shows right in the big band swing of the main theme, Puppet on a Chain, and even in purely climatic passages as in the suspense of Drug Dealers and Drug Hypnosis.
