Ritratto di Borghesia in Nero
Music by Frizzi, Bixio, Tempera
Working since the mid-70s in westerns as Carambola (1973) or The Four of the Apocalypse (1975), the trio of composers Fabio Frizzi, Franco Bixio, Vinci Tempera had median performance in the Italian production until they dispersed for independent careers.
Frizzi had greater prominence in early 80s, working for horror films, especially in partnership with the director Lucio Fulci. The trio´s score for the drama Ritrato di Borghesia in Nero is additional evidence of the invariable good level of Italian scores of the period with its refinement and romantism. Melancholy mood and piano lines are heard in most arrangements. The score includes waltzes and dixieland to the nostalgic tone and thematic alternative. An average score, compared to the high productivity of the period, but a rarity considering the seldom availability of this composers trio material.
