Sensuality and tropical contemplation in musical climates of Il Corpo. Piero Umiliani once again shows his talent as a great arranger on this score for an erotic drama of the many (and many) made in the 70s. Percussion added of organs and synthesizers pack the exotic/erotic atmosphere, the beaches and the black beauty of actress Zeudi Araya. The track Dusken is emblematic of this intention to the hypnotic. Similarly, The Princes and In the Village complement the numbing haze of a hot afternoon at the beach through its insinuating bass guitar, marimbas and aural suspension. But what could be a simple exercise in easy listening tracks gets wider meaning in Umiliani´s musical pages. The track White Sand, with organ, synthesizer and guitar, is a jazz-tropical and Chase is a perfect disco tune (synth + bass) before the disco era! In Stream is detached a vigorous swing in bass lines for intense sequences. An average job considering the composer´s work, but Piero Umiliani will always be above any measure for his musical profusion and wealth of arrangements.
