La Ragazza Dalla Pelle Di Luna
Music by Piero Umiliani
La Ragazza Dalla Pelle Di Luna is an erotic drama that joined Il Corpo and La Ragazza Fuoristrada in a trilogy starred by black beauty Zeudi Araya, directed by Luigi Scattini and with music by Piero Umiliani.
The main theme gives the tone with its undulating lines and vocalizing without words in a sensual "tropical aria". Mahé is one pf the highlights with the main melody arranged as a jazz number and bossa nova beat. With a more dramatic feel than the other scores, but still giving proper space to the sensual, the score is another great example of the usual pop retro cinema B of the 70s. As usual in Umiliani, alternative themes and variations add musical enhancement: Seyga Seyga is a rock, Bossa at Seychelles has some soul swing and Laguna Tropicale is almost a Brazilian-pop tune. The score is also a remarkable gathering of the best players then active in the Italian production: Edda Dell'Orso on vocals, Oscar Valdanbrini on trumpet, Alessandro Alessandroni on vocals and whistles, Franco D'Andrea on Fender piano, composer Berto Pisano (La Svergognata) on bass, plus Umiliani himself on piano in a recording that started his own recording company and studio.
